Anodizing Al–Si Foundry Alloys: A Critical Review

چکیده
Compared with pure aluminum and wrought alloys, Al foundry alloys are more difficult to be anodized. The high content of alloying elements prevents the uniform growth oxide layer enhances embedding defects in anodic film. microstructure substrate anodizing parameters play a key role final quality layer. Variations chemical composition, casting process, pre‐ post‐anodizing treatments can significantly affect response. This work aims critically review main factors influencing morphology Al–Si alloys. In particular, effects on thickness, surface mechanical properties, corrosion resistance discussed detail.
